CEE 492: Engineers for a Sustainable World PERSONAL GOALS Due: Tuesday, September 9 th in class (one per student) Each ESW student is to set personal goals for the semester. During the first couple weeks of the semester, you are to review the course goals outlined in the Course Information Handout, consider the project you will be working on, and reflect on your own goals in ESW for the semester. Your goals may be a combination of technical achievements and personal and professional development. Your goals statement should be revisited periodically during the semester. Purpose Being deliberate, thoughtful, and reflective about your Engineers for a Sustainable World experience will ensure that you get as much out of it as possible. ESW is an undertaking where you will get out of it what you put in. So it’s good to know what you are trying to accomplish! People are supposed to learn from experience…To say that experience is a good teacher, however, does not imply that it’s easily or automatically so. If it were, we’d all be a lot wiser
