Final Exam Possible Prompts and Structure HIST 2616 YOU WILL NEED TO BRING A BLANK BLUE BOOK TO THE EXAM. DO NOT WRITE YOUR NAME ON IT BEFOREHAND. You might be kind and bring an extra or two since I will not read any exam that is not written in a blue book . You may not bring any notes whatsoever into the exam room. Any electronic devices must be kept out of sight and silent. I will only read exams written in black or dark blue ink or pencil. You are, of course, expected to abide by the honor code before, during, and after the exam. Any violation of these rules will result in a zero for the exam grade. No exceptions. No kidding. The final exam will have three sections: I. The ID section: (25 points) This section will have two parts. Part A will contain IDs from the last section of the course (after Quiz 3 through the last day of class). You will have to answer three of these out of several (9 or more) choices. Part B will contain IDs from the rest of the course (in other words from the beginning of the course through Quiz 3). You will have to answer two of these out of several (8 or more) choices. II. The essay on topics from the last section of the course: (45 points) The second section of exam is an essay focusing on the material we have just covered in the course. The possible prompts are below. You will have two to choose from on the exam, so you must prepare at least two of the topics. A. Describe and explain the development of the women’s liberation movement and the second-wave of feminism in America. What prompted American women to develop feminist groups and organizations in the 1960s and 70s? What have been the lasting effects of “second-wave”
