EXPLORING PROFESSION COURSE, PROJECT DEFINITION DOCUMENT PROJECT 3 (CITY ROBOT)                                              v1.2 1- Introduction This project involves working in teams to design and build a robotic using LEGO  Mindstorms EV3 set to compete in an obstacle racecourse. 2- Educational Goals To provide students with hands on experience building a simple programmable robot. To  demonstrate  that  engineering  projects  typically  involve  a multitude   of  skills and knowledge from many subject areas. To familiarize students with the design process. To introduce students to the basics of computer programming. To spark students' interest in Science and Technology. 3- Objective The objective of this project is to build a computer controlled robot that can safely travel between   two   positions   without   getting   obstructed   by   any   obstacle.   To   simulate   real   world situations, the robot must be able to climb a small ramp, be aware of pedestrians crossing a street via   pedestrian   crossing   (the   presence   of   a   pedestrian   on   the   crossing   will   be   provided   via messages from  the Master Controller*) , turn corners, climb stairs and reach to target position following a green line. During all the steps the robot should avoid touching walls as much as
