Blind Shaft l , based on a book Made around 2003, in contrast to films made in 1950s before the reform period, where there was praise of the party, glory of working together this film is the opposite Everybody in this film is all amateur actors In the film they all hope to survive Fake a cave-in by blowing things up, cousins die in mine, because of your fault you have to pay for compensations extortion Everybody’s after themselves People in the bureau portrayed as evil, everybody just wants to survive and support themselves, it’s the system that made them evil Film starts off by showing workers walking to a coal mine shaft have to be searched Shaft collapsed, a worker suggested filing a police report and letting his family know boss told him to calm down a fraud? Someone killed him on purpose Boss: no information should leak out, screwed if party investigated Boss: how much did he want? Assistant: why bother? Just kill the two of them
