Problems and Consequences of Violence in Schools Statement of Social Problem In the world of which we live in today every action we as individuals make have consequences not only to ourselves but to the community that surrounds us. A major and fast growing social problem in todays society is the violence within our schools. Violent behavior of individuals has always been a social problem but the violence and acts within it seems to be growing at a ridiculously fast rate. Violent acts in schools used to consist of bulling, hazing, and theft, but in todays day and age has turned into worse behavior such as school shootings. There are many different consequences from such behavior. The consequences affect both the people involved and the community as a whole. Negative Consequences These consequences that we ourselves create have both positive and negative effects.
