The topics include economic growth, economic fluctuations, monetary and fiscal policy, etc. The course emphasizes micro foundations and equilibrium analysis. Elementary calculus is required for the course. Textbooks [1] Barro, Macroeconomics- A Modern Approach [2] Auerbach and Kotlikoff, Macroeconomics - An Integrated Approach, Second Edition [3] Patterson, Study Guide to Macroeconomics -- An Integrated Approach Website Homework sets are post in: www.arts.cornell.edu/econ/zhu/Econ314.htm Evaluation Grades are based on homework sets (10%), two in-class prelims (20% each), and a final exam (50%). The final exam is cumulative.
