Unformatted text preview: we have learned in class throughout the semester, mainly the core concept on social classes. As Ian and Curt experienced first-hand, they went from the industrialized city of Boston, where established and accomplished individuals support the economy, to the rural town of Greene, Iowa, where the townspeople work hard in hopes of having enough money to simply provide food for their families on a daily basis. To Ian and Curt, the work they were doing was bizarre, and they often made jokes about the labor they had to do. However, the work the two friends did and the lives they lived is the work that the farmers of Greene, Iowa do daily and the lives they must live every day. Also, the concept of social hierarchies is evident within the town of Greene, Iowa. Inequality exists amongst farmers as big farms continue to get bigger while little farms suffer....
