These rules are viewed by most as very strict and unnecessary. The need to have to have your ID held along with the visitor is seen as very excessive. It is understandable that there is a want for the students to feel safe and secure while in their dorms with the recent violence that has occurred on college campuses around the world. Visitor check-in is very tedious and extreme within the dorms. The DRs or people working the desk at the dorms should be able to know within the dorms....
