RNA: Structure and Transcription Dr. Matera 4 Mar 2009 Structure of a tRNA-splicing endonuclease docked to  a precursor tRNA. The endonuclease (a four-subunit  enzyme) removes the tRNA intron (blue). A second  enzyme, a multi-functional tRNA ligase (not shown),  then joins the two tRNA halves together.  From  Alberts et al., Fig. 6-54.
