To His Right He was thought to be phony and a liar He was a Southern Baptist, but people thought that he was a mockery to it due to lady chasing He took typical Republican issues and made them his own Republicans supported the death penalty and the Democrats did not Clinton oversaw the execution of Ricky Ray Rector in Arkansas in 1992 In 1996 Clinton signs a bill into law ending welfare as we knew it people who did not work got very little He thought that affirmative action was good for America, but saw flaws, “let’s mend it, not end it” Republicans had better rating in the 1980s to manage the economy, due to the flop of Jimmy Carter Clinton helped the economy sky rocket now voters trusted the Democrats more than the Republicans to manage the economy He took crime, welfare, affirmative action, and monetary issues away from the Republicans Republicans did not like his image saw self-indulgence and hypocrisy
