The four identical conducting spheres shown below are well separated from each other. Sphere W (with an initial net charge of zero) is touched to sphere A and then they are separated again. Next, sphere W is touched to sphere B (with an initial net charge of -32e), after which they are separated again. Finally, sphere W is touched to sphere C (with an initial net charge of +48e). When they are separated again, sphere W has a final net charge of +18e. What was the initial net charge on sphere A?
