Christian Reed 3-31-2009 Indv102-045 Extra Credit Nationalization of Businesses Extra Credit With the economy in the shape it is in the government has been nationalizing businesses with the bailout. The bailout caused much debate over the government providing for companies that do not need to be such as; the car manufactures and the banks. Do we really need to nationalize this for America to stay together as a whole. When we nationalize a business we spend government money on a private company that has already failed. We do this to try and help Americans that have invested into that business. Many think that if we do not help them out America will fail. If we just let this businesses work things out we will not be spending government money to get them back on track. While doing this we end up putting the country as a whole in debt causing in the end a greater fiasco. In 2008 the United States nationalized the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation and Federal National Mortgage Association , as well as many others. This caused heated debate over
