Caitlin Bartley WRTG 3020 August 27. 2008 RESPONSE WRITING #1 The essay "Families and Feminist Theory: Some Past and Present Issues" by Susan Moller Okin discusses the many different feminist views on women and their roles in families. The essay focuses on the need to reach equality for women and how feminist L-- theories have altered the norm for women in families and society. The debates on women as mothers and what is acceptable for them is continually changing. There are so many different decisions women can make with what they feel is right for them and their families. It is no longer rare for a mother to work and not stay at home all day with the ~ children while the husband works and supports the family entirely on his own.
