BP 2 Lab – Spring 2009 Sections 0333 & 0338 Kristin: [email protected] Office hours: Thursday 5-6 period in Gerson 125 Expectations: You are expected to come prepared to lab: You should have completed the homework associated with all of the material covered through the Wednesday before the lab. o Be prepared to work a homework problem on the board during the lab. This will count towards participation in the class. o Participation: there are no points explicitly allocated to participation, but a point may be deducted from your total lab grade for any instance that you are 1) Blatantly unprepared (cannot even begin to answer the problem) or 2) Disrespectful towards your fellow students. (I don’t forsee this being an issue.) Bring your calculator!!! You guys are accounting students – love your calculator. Unformatted text preview: office hours. Quizzes: There will be 6 quizzes. 1 quiz can be dropped. So 5 of your quiz grades will be counted. Each quiz is worth 10 points for a total of 50 points. NOTE: In order to be able to have a drop, we will have a quiz during the Friday of reading days (module courses go through the whole week). If you do not want to take a quiz then, just use that for your drop. If you need to miss a lab for any other reason, feel free to use your drop then. If you think you have an “excused absence”, please notify me at least 2 days before the lab (so Wednesday at the latest) and we will figure something out. Quizzes will be given at the end of the class period. They will cover all of the material from the previous Friday through the Wednesday of the week the quiz is given (just like BP1)....
