EE 438L, spring 2009 Instructor: Dr. Kian Kaviani, PHE 528, office Hrs: 1:0 – 1:45 PM Tu. & Th. e-mail & Mon. 4:00 – 5:00 PM e-mail: kaviani@usc.edu Prerequisite: EE338 or consent of the instructor Textbook: No official Textbook for this course but the weekly power point presentation will be available on blackboard@usc.edu for the students of EE438L to use as the reading material Course Objective: This is a course intended for graduate students in Engineering & Science who are interested in a hand on approach toward learning of basic operations in fabrication & testing of integrated circuits. The course has two components. One the weekly lectures, which runs for approximately 2 hours. In these lectures basic principles used in IC fabrications are discussed and state-of-the-art approaches are also presented. The second component of the course comprises of weekly laboratory work, which runs for approximately 3 hours for a period of eleven weeks.
