Grades will be assigned on the basis of the absolute number of points you earn during the semester. There will be no extra credit assignments or other opportunities to pull up your grade. Letter grades will be assigned based on total points earned by students completing all course requirements as follows: A (90-100%); A- (86-89%); B+ (82-85%); B (78-81%); B- (74-77%); C+ (70-73%); C (65-69%); D (55-64%); F (Below 55%). Do not expect curving of exams. EXAMS There will be a mid-term examination and a comprehensive final examination during the semester. Both examinations will be given on Saturdays as detailed in the syllabus (see above) and MUST be taken at the scheduled time. Examinations may be missed only under extraordinary circumstances, which must be approved by your instructor prior to the examination.
