Introduction- The purpose of this lab is to examine the nature of electric fields by mapping out the equipotential lines and then sketching the electric field lines. We want to explore the characteristics of the electric field produced by different arrangements of electrodes. In this experiment you will study the electric field in a two-D plane when an electric current flows through it. Electric field is the force that acts between two charges, and the force shown by. The K constant is equal to 8.99E9 Nm²/C². The electrical potential can be changed if the distance between the charges changes. Useful Equations- ΔV=Vinitial-Vfinal PE = qEd W = Fd=qEd=-q ΔV Conclusion- Field lines and equipotential lines can never cross. The electric lines of force act perpendicular to the equipotential lines. As the electric field lines cant intersect, because if they did there will be no unique direction of force at that
