Maria Tsiolkas NTR 390:001 Dr. Jonathan Allen 11 February, 2009 Production Management Intern The internship is with Leprino Foods Company that has headquarters in Denver Colorado, and it is for the student to join the Management Training Program. The participant needs to have a degree in Dairy Science, Food Science, or the equivalent, and would have to be alright with moving to any of the plant locations. The trainees will learn all production jobs in-depth from start-up to shutdown, including cleanup. The program will last for approximately one year, with most of the training occurring on first and third shifts. Trainees can expect to spend one week in every department of the plant for an overview, three months each in the Cheese, Processing, and Whey departments. At the end of the internship, participants will be placed in a Production Supervisor position in one of our manufacturing plants.
