Symbolize the following arguments using the given letters, then reduce the number of terms and put the arguments into standard form. Determine whether the arguments are valid and name any fallacies committed. (a) All Peace Corps volunteers ( V ) are persons who have witnessed poverty and desolation ( W ), and all persons insensitive to human need are persons who have failed to witness poverty and desolation. Thus, all Peace Corps volunteers are persons sensitive to human need ( S ). (b) Some unintentional killings are not punishable offenses ( P ), inasmuch as all cases of self-defense ( C ) are unpunishable offenses, and some intentional killings ( I ) are cases of self-defense. (c) All aircraft that disintegrate in flight are unsafe planes.
