magnetic forces, given the geometry of the field and the initial particle velocities.

Relate and calculate magnetic fields and magnetic forces acting on electric currents.

Explain and show how to determine appropriate field directions and calculate physical
quantities involved in applications involving magnetic fields and forces—mass
spectrometer, velocity selector, cyclotron, magnetic rail gun, aurora, Earth's magnetic field.
