PSY 270: Study Guide for Final Exam           Study Guide for the Final Exam               (Scheduled for Tuesday, August 12th, 2:00pm–4:00pm) This study guide is designed to help you prepare for the forthcoming final exam. The Coverage Lectures All lectures, readings (Chapters 6–12 and the Schacter article), and coglabs from after the midterm test. Exclusions (material that will definitely not be on the final exam) are included for each chapter. Any material not excluded may be on the exam, so please don’t ask if it is necessary to review specific non-excluded material. Readings. Supplementary reading: For the Schacter article, you are only responsible for material directly related to that covered in lecture. Note, however, that the reading covers this material a lot more thoroughly than lecture. Chapter 6: Long-term memory. Exclusions: Any information related to the serial position curve and the double dissociation between STM and LTM (i.e., the material covered before the midterm). Chapter 7: Everyday Memory and Memory Errors. Exclusions: The main concepts of this topic are covered throughout the chapter, making it impossible to omit specific parts. However, you do not need to know any experiments mentioned that were not covered in lecture. Chapter 8: Knowledge. Exclusions: Section titled “Representing concepts in
