These periods are where people emerged NOT civilizations often known as the stone age. They are not civilization because of char such as mentioned above. There evidence was found evidence at 2 places. By digging civilizations are discovered, historians digs according to the environment. These digs usually occurred at present days deserts and arid. These ppl moved with herds. They are not setlled. The group of people are very small. Only a collection of 4-5 people They do have some technology such as stone tools. The first ppl tht actually resemble us are CroMagnon. Neolithic Period really do see the first civilization. It is known as the copper ages because the people of this timer perioud used copper Jericho is the earliest Neolithic site The first civilization emerge in Meso potamia and it is know as the Fertile Cresent. Near the Egypt and Nile. It has 2 big rivers Tigris and Eupheries. These period is known as bronze age Somerians are first civilization They invented the Wheel They had written language cuneiform. somerians developed ideograms to develop sysmbols which expressed ideas. They were the first people to established law i.e orders of things which you cannot do Akkadians they were create the first world empire and they take over SOmerians Amorites are important cause 1. they unified Mesopotamia into one large empire….the akkadian are going to attack summer and Syria. They also created centralized government…they created a very substantial government to manage this new empire.

1 sig. introduced a new law “crime against the state” such as treason. 2 nd sig they took law to new level …they publicize this crimes…there prince hummurabi’s placed laws in public squares ….so law cannot be manipulated…. They also created a calendar system….to keep track for growing seasons….somerian developed a 13 month
