Caitlin McCurdy “How should Christians think of material goods?” Christians have been given an exact guide on how to view money and material possessions from a biblical standpoint. It is our responsibility, as Christians, to know and follow these instructions when we are tempted to conform to the world’s view of money. We are faced with this challenge on a daily basis and have to continually decide whether we are going to follow God’s will for our lives or our own. We are told that all people, believers and unbelievers, as well as everything else in this world belong to God. Who are we to view material possessions as our own? God has entrusted us with earthly blessings in order for us to exploit those blessings to further His kingdom. As believers, our desire should be to store up heavenly riches that will benefit for eternity, contrary to the world’s desire to accumulate earthly riches that will only bring pleasure for a short time. Because of the promise God has given us, “I can do all things through Christ”, we
