Ambivalence (def.): A feeling of uncertainty about something due to a mental conflict And this ambivalence affects: Doctrine Spiritual practice Thus, by understanding the roots of this ambivalence, the church can be both more insightful and intentional, doctrinally and in her practice of spirituality.
