about the priorities and decisions that college students make on a daily basis. For example, the items in the picture form a hierarchy. The downward perspective on the books makes them seem inferior to the television, Xbox 360, and party life. The hierarchy shows that at one point he was studying because the books are open, however, the urge to slack off and play video games overcomes his will to study.

For example, the cigar, hat, pen, and After Shock bottle all point towards the TV and Xbox. These details point to the student in general being a slacker and procrastinator rather than just an ordinary student taking a break from his school work. The oblique view also emphasizes this affect. It allows other viewers to associate themselves with Greg. The viewer can imagine themselves in his situation to understand how easy it is to push off school work and to participate in other activities such as gaming and socializing....
