Cabral 2/4/08 Agree to Disagree I recently got a new boyfriend, who I thought my parents would love, considering our moms were really good friends, and I’d known Al for quite some time. However, my parents did not approve of Al and I, at all. They told me I wasn’t allowed to see or talk to him, and to end things right away. The reasons my parents don’t like Al are so dumb too. They didn’t like the fact that his parents are divorced, they don’t like the neighborhood he lives in, and they think he doesn’t have a future. My parents have no idea how wrong they are though. They barely gave him a chance. The night we got into an argument, my father yelled and screamed at me, which just made me more upset. I refused to talk to him. My mother saw how upset I was and talked to me calmly, but she was still saying the same things as my father. All I could do was shake my head. I could not believe how mean and judgmental my parents could be. A few days later, I tried talking to my mom again; I wanted to prove to her how
