MRP: Problem Starts Slide 21. Need 2 wheel assembly's for every wagon, and one axle for every wheel assembly. Slide 22 has the master production schedule for wagons A and B Slide 23 has the inventory status. Quantity on hand, work in progress, how long it takes, quantity ordered. Y1L, Y2L and 10314 are how many component parts are needed. Use all of this information to plug into slide 24. Slide 24 is about Y1L (wheel assembly wagon A) Project Gross requirements get from MPS (Multiply the quantity of wagons needed by number of parts needed per wagon (400x2). Scheduled Reciepts get from Inventory Status (Qty. WIP) Balance on Hand do the number in box (1200) minus requirements. When you get towards negative number you have to order (place order in previous period). Do negative number plus planned order. Planned Order = what you need to order for inventory (in the week or two weeks before you need it) When you get down to 10314. .. Every time you use a YlL you use one 10314.
