Tanner Merwin English IV CP Descriptive Essay August 25, 2016 The hollow hemisphere of heaven hummed as the cascade of marshmallows and toasted oats fell toward the bottom, pitter-pattering like rain against a window as it made contact with the hard plastic. Glistening from a light application of unadulterated sugar, the inklings of cereal shone in the fluorescent lighting of my kitchen. The sight was glorious; a beacon of hope in the dark reality of dealing with the day ahead. As I whirled my spoon clockwise about the perimeter of the bowl, I assured the sugary sweetness to distribute evenly throughout the milk. The milk was nectar to the unfocused teenage mind with an ability to perk up and boost one’s spirits within seconds. Once the liquid was forged to a perfect consistency, I proceeded to spoon the crisp, crunchy oats into my mouth with the eagerness a retriever would harbor to catch a Frisbee. With
