One of the greatest concerns of global warming could easily be what are the causes? A. As was explained to you earlier, global warming is due to Green house gases in the atmosphere. B. Currently the three most impactful gases include carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide. I. Firstly the main producer of carbon dioxide is power plants; that burn coal as a source of energy which produces more carbon dioxide emissions than either natural gas or oil. II. Next is methane which holds heat in the atmosphere 20 times stronger than carbon dioxide. It comes from much more natural sources such as bacteria in bogs or swamps and from other things like bovine flatulence. III. The third is nitrous oxide which can be produced from processes like nylon production, or catalytic converters in cars, or use of fertilizers, and even just burning of organic matter. C. But another big issue is that the world is being vastly deforested; meaning forests are destroyed or cut down. I.
