Debate Report Due Oct 31, 2007 Question : Should special tests be given to older adults (age > 65) in order to keep a driver’s license? Side : Disagree with special tests given. The debate in class covered almost all of the questions presented in the course packet, plus a few others. The topics included: types of tests, reaction time and age correlation, independence, Road conditions, and memory and age correlation. There were many studies found supporting both side of the argument for each topic introduced in class. When dividing the group to different topics I was given independence and weather conditions which were hard to find research on to support our side of the argument, however, there were many primary sources available for many other topics to help support my group’s argument. The first source was on the topic of age and the correlation to accidents. A study was done gathering information over 13 months of 8426 transport related injuries. One of the reports showed the distribution of age in all of the car accidents. (Accident Analysis & Prevention 2004) The following data table shows that in a certain hospital the
