Constantine calls council for purpose of unity . arius is condemned / fully divinity of Christ is affirmed./ solution homoousis ( Christ is the same ) / Constantinople: constanople vs apollinarius Call the council in 381 / Apollinarius _ anti arian – Christ is fully divine / Christ had human body and soul but the divine Logos replace human mind . The council condemmed Apollinarius and affirmed Christ is fully human Pneumatomachians: holy spirit is a creature / deny the trinity of the holy spirit. , Ephesus, Ephesus vs netorius 431 Nestorius : reject the term : Theolokos ( mother of God ) , he said it should be Chriolokos ( mother of Christ ) he belive Jesus is two separate nature ( human and divinity ) / Christ is two separate person Ephesus condemned Nestorius : Christ is one person . Chalcedon: chalcendon vs eutichys : Eutyches : there are 2 nature but only one after it / Christ is one divine nature Council : condemned the idea Christ is one divine nature / result Christ is really 2 nature without any mixture, separatation . confusion or change . Homoioousios: same but separate Heteroousios : totally different .
