The Constitution is a body of fundamental principles or established precedents according to which a state or other organization is acknowledged to be governed. The government needed order within the states because it cannot let the people run wild. The people did not like this new Constitution because they think it takes away their rights they won in the revolution was, so they attacked it. A delegate named James Madison made the Articles of Confederation to defend the new constitution and he explained why it was necessary. The people listened and always responded to what he said because it’s their rights and freedoms, so they cared about what he said. Madison said to the people that “If men were angles, no government would be necessary.” He then explained why government needs check on it. Madison said, “If angles were to govern men,” no checks would be needed. But for a government controlled by “men over men, the great
