MUIN 270 Introduction to the Music Industry Term Paper Guidelines Fall 2007 I. Term Paper Topics a. Due Thursday, October 18, 2007 b. Type a short paragraph describing your choice of topic. Include a preliminary thesis statement. c. Include your name and E-mail address. II. Bibliography a. Due on Thursday, October 25, 2007 b. Last day to change topic III. Term Paper Guidelines a. Format i. Term papers must be typed! ii. Term papers should be 8-12 double-spaced pages in length not including title page or bibliography iii. The title page should contain the title of your paper, the class name, your name and date. Please do not repeat this information as a page header in the text of the paper. iv. Please add page numbers v. Use a 12 point proportional font for the body of the paper. Set page margins at one-inch. vi. The paper must correctly cite sources using footnotes, endnotes, or MLA system. vii. Block quotations should be single spaced, further indented, and separated from the rest of the text with an open line before and after the quotation.
