Keep track of the number of times you compile this program before it is ready to turn in and also the amount of time (in hours and minutes) that it takes you to do this assignment. Be honest! It won’t do you any good unless you have good data for your own efforts. (How long it takes you to do the task has no bearing on the grade for this assignment. How honest you are in recording your work is the important thing.) 2. Programming Problems: You are helping your local department store implement an on-line or catalog sales operation, and your employer has a problem. People don’t know what size to order, and it is costing a lot to handle returns. Your boss has asked you to help. 1. Write functions that take height, weight, age and gender as arguments then computes that someone’s size based on this information. a) The hat size is the weight in pounds divided by the height in inches all that multiplied by 2.9 b) If the person is male: a. The chest in inches is height in inches times weight divided by 288 and then adjusted by adding 1/8 of an inch for each 10 years over 30. (Adjustment only takes place after a full 10 years, so ages 30-39 have the same adjustment; ages 40-49 have the same adjustment, etc.) b. The waist size is weight divided by 5.7 and then adjusted by adding 1/10 of an inch for each 2 years over age 28. (Adjustment only takes place after a full 2 years, so no adjustment for age 29, but 1/10 of an inch for age 30 and 31, etc.) c) If the person is female: a.
