Exam 1 EE361 “Practice Exam” Problems such as the ones that follow have appeared on prior year exams. Problems on the exam this semester are not necessarily confined to this kind of problem, but should consider material covered through 1 week before the exam. You are encouraged to study the text sections covering the relevant material (in both textbooks – the Savitch book and the C++/CLI text) as well as the lecture slides posted. That would include: Jan. 11 – Introduction Jan. 16 - C++/CLI - first differences Jan. 18 and Jan. 21 - Primitive Datatypes and Control Structures Jan. 23 - Modules – Functions Jan. 25 - Intro to Pointers and References Feb. 1 - Pointers, references, and function arguments Feb. 4 and 6 - Scope and Duration Feb. 8 - Scope, Recursion, Function Overloading Feb. 13 - Function Overloading and Function Templates Feb. 15 and 18 - Arrays and Strings Feb. 25 - Managed Arrays Feb. 27 - Strings This material is covered in the textbooks: Savitch: Chapters 1-5, 7, 9.1, 9.2, 14, 17.1 Hogenson: Chapters 1, 2, 4 (pp. 47-54, 56-58, 60-73), 5 (pp. 75-108) There is no guarantee that the exam on Wednesday will “look” like these problems, but it is likely to cover similar material.
