It’s going to be what you track through this semester. We’ll talk about it in detail on Friday. This assignment asks you to pick someone who’s on a different life course trajectory than you. You’re going to track their life in contrast to your own, to show us what social institutions look like as individuals move through them. Who you choose to interview is quite consequential. It will matter for this paper and also the second major paper that’ll be due the Monday before Thanksgiving. Choose well and choose early because there are preliminary steps involved in carrying out this paper that’ll be due in October. We gave you some topics to interview yourself and your interviewee about. This table assignment (page 8 on the assignment sheet) will be due on 9/28. This is a table in which we’ve asked you to organize information about yourself and your informant. Think about the assignment. Prepare your tables. You can use these to prepare for your papers due on October 10 th . Reader
