Name Professor Class Date Future Little Women I grew up in a largely judgeable society. As a girl, I was expected to be weak and feminine. I believed that being a man or behaving like one was a weakness.I remember playing on my area volleyball team when my coach shouted at me and accused me of hitting like a girl implying that I was not being aggressive enough.I carried this mentality through my school life and endeavored to do things that proved I was a strong woman and detest anything that would prompt my senior to refer to me as a weak girl. The Joys of Motherhood by Buchi Emecheta, The End of Eddy by Edouard Louis, The Chocolate War by Robert Cormier, and Judy Brady's Article shaped my attitude towards women and gender roles. In this case, education is a potent agent of transformation and liberation.Reading materials written by feminists who championed equal treatment for both genders transformed my thinking and made me the woman I am today. My turnaround came when I read Judy Brady's Article titled, I Want a Wife.
