Abstract : The goal of this project was to get acquainted with using Quartus by solving a simple design problem. We were to build a circuit via a circuit diagram, while also implementing VHDL code in another instance to compare the output from a similar waveform input. When the results are compared it is evident that each instance produces equivalent outputs. This shows that the Quartus program can easily cater to the strengths or constraints of the user. Design Problem : The problem concerned inputting a waveform with all possible high and low value combinations using both the schematic capture method and the VHDL code method. Then the results are to be compared, where the results should be equivalent. While solving this simple design problem, we are to get comfortable with the program Quartus for use in later projects. Details of Design : The design of our circuit involved producing an entity with three (3) inputs with one (1) output. This entity has 3 NOT Boolean operations after each input. However
