JPN 412K/L Evaluation Criteria for Oral Performance (Tentative) Your performance in oral performance exams will be graded according to the following criteria. Section 1: Interview (40 points) Comprehension : understanding the interviewer’s utterances and giving appropriate responses. Accuracy : grammar [word order, verb forms, particles, etc.] and vocabulary. Fluency and Pronunciation : pauses, restarts, speed/rhythm, intonation, and word pronunciation. Communication : strategies for getting the message across and understanding; additional communicative efforts. * Use expressions in “Useful Expressions for Conversations” in this packet. Section 2: Role Play (20 points) The same evaluation criteria as “Section 1: Interview.”
