Trang Pham United State History II 04/03/2016 HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT 7 WORLD WAR I Question 1: World War I, which took place from June 1914 to November 1918, was one of the biggest war in our history. The scale of World War I is the largest scale in the history of mankind; the scale and the severity just behind the World War II. This war is one of the historical events that have the biggest influence in world history. The main battlefield of war has covered all of Europe and affected the entire world. The number of people who died in World War I is 19 million people. Devastating impact on the physical and spiritual for humanity are very profound and long lasting. The main reason of World War I is "balance of power". “Balance of power” is one of the concept that often use in international politics, but also is often debate. This concept is used loosely to describe and justify all sorts of problems. Pleading that German’s army had killed US citizens: “It is a war against all nations. American ships have been sunk, American lives taken, in ways which it has stirred us very deeply to learn of, but the ships and people of other neutral and friendly nations have been sunk and overwhelmed in the waters in the same way”
