Scenario and Questions for the Final Exam HDFS 2322.004 --- Spring 2008 Scenario Tim and Diane have been married for three years. Their marriage is not a happy one. They’re not sure when things began to fall apart, but both are convinced that the other is primarily to blame for their problems. During the time that they were dating and for the first part of their marriage, they were very happy. The courtship itself was fairly brief. Two months after they met, they were engaged, and four months after that, they were married. Both had dated other people during the first few years of college, but Tim had never dated anyone like Diane. After their first date, he told a friend that Diane was the woman he’d been looking for, the one he knew he was supposed to marry. She was perfect for him – so easy to talk to and so good- looking. Diane was very attracted to Tim, too, but she wasn’t too sure about getting into another relationship. It had only been a month since her last relationship ended and she was still feeling the pain of abandonment. At the same time, she felt so lost and she hated being alone, so when Tim asked her out, she accepted. A few dates
