If you choose NOT to take this class, it is your responsibility to make sure you are properly ‘dropped’. Course Objective This course is the third of a four semester sequence. This semester we will cover fluid mechanics, wave phenomena, thermodynamics, and optics. Prerequisite Physics 4A is a prerequisite for this class; Math 1B is a co-requisite. Required Text by Young & Freedman 11 th : 0-805-38684-X 12 th : 0-805-32187-X Course Coverage We will cover roughly one chapter of the text each week, chapters 14 through 20 and 32 through 36. Attendance While there are no “points” specifically associated with attendance, you will find that attendance is necessary for your success in this class. I reserve the right to drop you from the class if you are absent for three class sessions. Academic Dishonesty
