The quality improvement strategy that I would first about for this scenario would be implementation of a policy for non-emergent/emergent prescription requests and refills for the office. After establishing the policy, I would train all staff members about the policy to empower them about the changes our office is creating. After educating about the policy, I believe that a measure of the initial implementation of the policy is necessary to view compliance with the change in procedure. Lastly, rewarding the staff on its successful addition to policy in our practice or re-educating them on the policy would be a necessary act. This would be needed to ensure the staff felt valued for their efforts or if they need more training to execute the changes
