1. STUDENT COUNCIL CAMPAIGN SPEECH– use persuasive speech to convince or persuade the audience to vote for him/her.Example:Both parties are aiming to persuade their fellow students to vote for them bygiving their own creative speeches about their platforms, qualifications, and educationalachievement.2. MONOLOGUE SPEECH– is a speech given by one actor as part of a play, film, or theatrical performance whoreveals inner thoughts and offers context for his or her role.Example:When I was in Grade 10, my Filipino teacher gave us tasks to be covered inour final activity performance task, which was to perform one of the characters from ElFelibusterismo in front of our class. I made a monologue speech, which I portrayed asDoña Victorina.
3. PERSONAL NARRATIVE SPEECH– speech is used to tell a story, or give focus on a specific real life event. Speakers oftenuse anecdotes to relate their experiences as well as to engage the audience and to giveinspiration or moral lesson to the listeners. This event quite often happened inorganization that advocates to give motivational to its audience such as school, church,and open forum in specific groups.Example:One of my friends invited me to be one of the speakers at their church toshare my experiences in life, how I encountered God and how I overcame all thosestruggles in my life.4. SCHOOL DECLAMATION SPEECH– a declamation is a formal speech that uses rhetorical language, expressivemovements, and powerful emphasis to make a point. Declamations are frequently usedto persuade an audience to believe what you are saying.Example:Everyone in the crowd is awestruck and stunned as one of the participants ofGrade 10 showcases his well-structured and on-point declamation piece about relevantsocial and political issues in our country.
5. MANUSCRIPT SPEECH– the manuscript speech is a presenting technique in which the speaker don’t need tomemorize as he/she can reads the prepared piece of paper (printed or handwrittenform) or a teleprompter.
