Epic of Evolution Supernova lecture First stage of supernova explosion- neutrinos flood out. Blow out outer layers of star. Neutrons have 2000 times the mass of an e therefore n have more energy. Higher frequency. Smaller wavelength. N can be compressed in a much smaller region. Neutrons compressed into very dense space by gravity. Neutrons slam together, but some bounce back out. Neutron bounce is the 2 nd , most violent stage of a supernova Flood of neutrinos bounce of neutrons Core is now a neutron star. Similar to a white dwarf except in a white dwarf it is electrons pushing against each other. Neutron star is denser. 1 tsp of white dwarf= the mass of a Lincoln Navigator Radius= the mass of the Sun in a ball the size of the Earth. 1 tsp of a neutron star= 400 million x the mass of a Lincoln Navigator. ~1 billion tons.

Says once something becomes a black hole, it is impossible to get out. Space of black hole becomes separated from space outside it....
