DATABASE MODELING AND NORMALIZATION2Database Modeling and NormalizationThis paper involves the determination of steps of development of an operating entity relationship diagram, including the possible iterative steps, not leaving out the factors consider inthe process of considering the human resource core functions and responsibilities of the client. One should analyze the risk associated with the developmental or iterative step during the creation of an entity relationship model diagram if there was last of proper performance on one of the steps. Selecting and ranking five objects that are a requirement for the development of the data repositories. Specification of the components that requires holding the time-variant information for policy enforcement and training management. With the use of a diagram, present a possible solution for 1: M that contains the history of history salary data, job history, and training history for each employee. Finally, to plan each step of the normalization process to ensure the 3NF level of normalization using the five entities of the personnel database solution, and with a use of a diagram of at least five possible entities to sustain personnel solution to include the dependency graph and multivalued dependencies. An Effective Entity Relationship Model DiagramAccording to Brandenburg, (n.d.), an entity relationship model diagram is a type which consists of data and describes how entities relate with each other. Its primary use is to understandthe domain, or clarify a terminology and connect concepts to database structures. In the development of an entity relationship model, the following steps renders necessary;a. The creation of boxes for each object that is relevant to the particular model.b. Modeling the relationship between each box by drawing a line to connect entities thatare related, and labeling using verbs or numeric notations.
