Reflexive pronouns are placed: Before a conjugated verb: Juan se lava las manos. Te ves en el espejo. Attached to the end of an infinitive or present participle: Voy a lavarme las manos. (Me voy a lavar las manos.) Estoy lavándome. (Me estoy lavando.) Attached to end of an affirmative command: Lávate. Aféitate. Before a negative command: No te vayas. No te veas en el espejo. When a sentence contains a reflexive pronoun and a direct object pronoun, they are placed as noted above and the reflexive pronoun is always placed before the direct object pronoun. (The two pronouns must be placed together in the sentence!): Se las lava. Lávatelas. Reciprocal reflexive . The plural reflexive pronouns ( nos, os, se ) can be used to express mutual or reciprocal actions: Nos escribimos muy a menudo . (We write to each other very often.)
