Hello, my name is Briana Perry. I earned my B.A. in Psychology from Elon
University. I am a former military child so we moved around quite a bit however, I
would say that I am from Maryland. I currently reside in Holloman AFB, New
Mexico, where the military has my spouse and I currently stationed. My interest
outside of academia include but are not limited to working out, coaching cheer,
attending church events and shopping. All of these things including work keep me
very busy but I thoroughly enjoy it. I currently work as an Executive Assistant as a
DOD civilian. I plan to utilize my Masters in Psychology to pursue work with the
school system and advocating for children with developmental delays. I also would
like to pursue a PhD in Psychology after completing my Masters. After my
undergraduate time, I began teaching middle school to learn how the school system
works and to work with children directly in the educational setting. My time spent
teaching helped me recognize my passion for assisting children with
developmental delays and educating families on how to help their children
succeed. So this week’s reading was right up my alley of experience with children
