Nick Wyatt MUH 218 Review #3 If a swinging evening of great jazz is what you’re looking for, then The OrganVibe Trio will definitely not disappoint. This group was observed on October twenty-seventh at the Jazz Factory during the first set. Unlike most “organ trios” this group omitted the bass and was a true organ trio. This group consists of Mevlin Rhyne, Mike Hyman, and Dick Sisto. Melvin Rhyne is a master of the Hammond B3 Organ, Mike Hyman plays the drums, and Dick Sisto plays the vibrophone. As described by the host of the show, this group is a swinging trio. The hosts comment was definitely validated immediately as the group began to play a swing beat that got the whole audience tapping their feet and bobbing their heads. The energy level in the room was very high all night while they played their songs. There was a ton of energy in the audience as well as on the stage with the performers. Each member of the band was absorbed in the music the entire time.
