Mrigender Virk 10-9-04 Eng Comp 2 Prof. Shaffer Dream Car A very common dream by any person, or at least any male, is to be speeding down a winding road without a car in sight in a new BMW that sticks to the road as if it were a track. This dream sequence is brought to life on television in most car ads and in every ad for BMW. The first time I saw a BMW on television I fell in love with it and then seeing it on the street made it like a dream that was tangible. This company sparked an interest for cars in me and slowly I learned about all the specifications and details of automobiles. I never thought I would be able to drive one because the image I had of it in my mind was of an object that was made only for the rich and important. But this changed, along with my feelings about BMW, last year when my family purchased a new blue 530i. BMW will find every way possible to hype their cars by installing the most expensive performance parts and hiring the greatest race car drivers just to record a commercial that lasts maybe a minute. Miles of scenic highways will be rented out and closed for hours or days to make these videos. Then at the end of most of these commercials they will put up the price for the car you want to buy.
